Supporting Our Community: ICL and St Luke’s Hospice International Women’s Day Event - ICL

ICL recently supported an International Women’s Day event in aid of St Luke’s Hospice, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to local charitable initiatives.

Held on Friday 6th March 2026 at Stock Brook Manor in Billericay, the event brought together individuals and organisations to celebrate the achievements of women while raising vital funds for hospice care. The event was widely shared across St Luke’s Hospice’s social media channels, where highlights and fundraising outcomes can be seen.

ICL’s Involvement

Our involvement in this event was driven by a personal connection within the business. St Luke’s Hospice is a cause very close to the heart of our colleague, Helen Wright, who has an ongoing relationship with the charity. After Helen brought the International Women’s Day event to the attention of ICL, arrangements were made for ICL to attend and provide support.

ICL sponsored a table of eight attendees, with Helen and colleagues from across the business—including our Accounts and Purchasing teams—coming together to represent the company. It was a valuable opportunity to support an important cause while engaging as a team.

A Continued Partnership

This initiative forms part of a broader, long-standing commitment from ICL to support local charities. St Luke’s Hospice is one of several organisations we are proud to work with, reflecting our belief in giving back to the communities in which we operate.

Over recent years, ICL has donated £5,000 annually to St Luke’s Hospice, with an additional £500 contributed specifically for this event. These donations help fund a wide range of essential services, including:

  • Patient care
  • Hospice facilities
  • Community outreach services
  • Family support programmes

The Impact of Corporate Support

Corporate partnerships play a vital role in enabling charities like St Luke’s Hospice to continue their invaluable work. Contributions from businesses help ensure that patients and their families receive compassionate, high-quality care when they need it most.

Jackie Ross, Corporate Fundraising Manager at St Luke’s Hospice, shared:

“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from ICL. Partnerships like this make a real difference, allowing us to provide specialist care, comfort and dignity to our patients and vital support to their families. Corporate contributions are essential in helping us sustain and grow our services within the community.”

Get Involved

We encourage others to learn more about the incredible work carried out by St Luke’s Hospice and to consider supporting their efforts. Whether through donations, partnerships, or attending fundraising events, every contribution helps make a meaningful impact.

Together, we can continue to support those who need it most.
