Industrial Chemicals Ltd is delighted to announce that we have been awarded an EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing us within the top 15% of companies assessed globally over the past 12 months.
EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading providers of business sustainability assessments, evaluating organisations across four key themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Its assessments are internationally recognised and increasingly used by customers to evaluate the sustainability performance of their supply chains.
Achieving a Silver Medal is an important milestone for ICL and reflects the progress we continue to make in embedding responsible business practices across our operations. The assessment recognises the work we have undertaken to strengthen our environmental management systems, support employee wellbeing, promote ethical governance and develop more sustainable business practices.
Sustainability continues to play an increasingly important role in the industries we serve, with many customers now requesting independent sustainability assessments as part of their supplier approval and ongoing review processes. This recognition provides independent validation of the progress we are making and demonstrates our commitment to meeting these expectations while continuing to identify opportunities to improve.
This achievement would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of colleagues across the business. From our operational teams and environmental specialists to health and safety, HR, procurement, finance and IT, contributions from many different departments have played an important part in reaching this milestone. It is a great example of how sustainability is a shared responsibility across the organisation, rather than the responsibility of one team alone.
Whilst we are incredibly proud to have achieved a Silver Medal, we recognise that sustainability is a journey rather than a destination. We will use the detailed feedback provided by EcoVadis to help shape our priorities and further strengthen our sustainability programme.
