Engineering Supervisor

We are looking for an Engineering Supervisor who is passionate, reliable and enthusiastic.

Purpose of the role

This role is to provide responsibility for ensuring the safe and efficient asset integrity of all site assets, with focus on regulatory compliance, ongoing maintenance, management of change, project delivery and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure all data needed for the Process Safety Performance Indicators are submitted accurately and on time for the PSPSI monthly report
  • Provide continuous development & performance monitoring for the engineering team including management of training programs and staff competence.
  • Responsible for defining & producing performance reports related to all engineering activities.
  • Identify and report on areas of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all maintenance, asset integrity and projects are delivered to time & budget, within identified SHEQ requirements through effective leadership, management & motivation of personnel.
  • Work alongside required company departments to efficiently deliver new projects.
  • Ensure all site projects are delivered in compliance with company engineering standards.
  • Comply with all statutory, regulatory & company procedures relating to Health, Safety, Environment, Quality & Personnel.
  • Assist the Site Manager with all aspects of the site’s Safety Report including compliance, improvement, and review.
  • Duty holder for L8 legionella compliance
  • Complete all duties as a permit issuer for specialist permits on site within the Permit to Work system.
  • Supervise the compliance of all controls identified in risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Site lifting appointed person
  • Provide effective leadership on site in the areas of Process Safety including delivery of maintenance programs, asset integrity and projects.
  • Assess and realise resource requirements for all inspection, maintenance & project activities.
  • Develop and implement an asset integrity programme that covers all assets and clearly defines maintenance and inspection intervals within company standards.
  • Ensure all inspection and maintenance programs are delivered to identified requirements.
  • Principal contact and day to day management for all engineering contractors.
  • Proactively manage the site engineering team.
  • Support the Site Manager in the identification, assessment, control and mitigation of the site’s operations and Major Accident Hazards.
  • Apply the SHEQ policy across site and implement knowledge gained within industry to process operations.
  • Assist the site manager in providing effective SHEQ leadership and report any incident observed on site.
