Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Purpose of the role

Responsible for overseeing the work of the mechanical maintenance activities on site. Will also provide leadership, guidance and direction to the Mechanical Maintenance team while ensuring that projects and works meet the quality standards and deadlines. Be responsible for positively representing Industrial Chemicals to our customers and suppliers.

 

Key Accountabilities

Performance and Compliance Monitoring:
  • Ensure the safety of the Mechanical Technicians
  • Select, plan, schedule and issue work to the Mechanical Technicians
  • Liaise efficiently & safely with the Operations teams and other maintenance personnel
  • Control all mechanical maintenance activities on site using personnel efficiently
  • Follow the procedures in the management system to ensure compliance with all standards for the site
  • Complete all routine checks following the preventative maintenance schedules
  • Work on asset breakdowns as identified
  • Source and order parts and tools as required
  • Provide daily supervision to the Mechanical maintenance team
  • Maintain an efficient operation with the mechanical maintenance team
Risk Assessment and Permit to work:
  • Ensure adequate risk assessments and safe systems of work are completed for all activities
  • Complete all duties as an authorised person on site within the permit to work system
Inspection and Maintenance Management:
  • Help develop and follow the preventative maintenance program for the site
  • Follow a rigorous inspection program for all equipment on site
Miscellaneous:
  • Assist in the good housekeeping on site
  • Any other reasonable duty as identified by ICL Senior Management to satisfy business needs, within the role holders capability and with sufficient training.
  • Positively represent Industrial Chemicals to our customers and suppliers
  • Maximise own ability to produce quality work, on time, and to brief, utilising best skills and available
  • Carry out any reasonable duties as identified by the Site Manager
  • Ensure compliance with our ISO standards.
  • Fully participate in the company’s performance management and development programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements at all times.
