Description

Calcium Hypochlorite is white solid, typically supplied in granular or tablet form, and smelling strongly of chlorine. It is relatively stable and has a greater available chlorine content than Sodium Hypochlorite.

Product Information

Calcium Hypochlorite is mainly used to sanitise swimming pools, and to disinfect drinking water but also has other uses – examples below:

  • Chemical manufacture – oxidising agent
  • Cleaning – bleaching/ disinfection
  • Leisure – chlorination/ sanitation of swimming pools
  • Paper – water treatment
  • Water Treatment – chlorination and disinfection

ICL’s Calcium Hypochlorite is manufactured in Japan. It has a higher active chlorine content than many other products being offered in the UK, but also a higher moisture content – this makes it one of the safest and most stable products available.
We have storage at our sites in Selby and West Thurrock as well as access to product stored externally in the UK and in mainland Europe.
